My older sister announced over the weekend that she is pregnant with her 2nd child. My neice is turning 4 in August, so there is a bit more of a gap between kids than they initially planned, but... well, you know--life is what happens while you're busy making other plans!
Anyway, DH was feeling a little bogged down last night, so we were talking about everything that he feels is piling up on him and he admitted that when he found out that my sister was PG, he felt a little jealous. He feels like he is getting older and that while he's really enjoying the freedom of where we are in our lives, that he has some major fears about having healthy children, being able to get PG, always imagined himself a younger parent.
It was a good talk. I told him that I think it's going to take him being ready to TTC to get me to fully come around. I don't want to be ready before him and I know it's going to take some getting used to the idea, but I think he has a lot of valid points. So it's interesting that it keeps coming up--we're not quite there yet, but I really do appreciate that we're able to talk about it that openly and I feel like we're on similar pages. It feels good.
That's it. Nothing that interesting. Just thought I'd share.
